terms and conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to every booking made with N E Style, and by booking, paying a deposit or attending an appointment, you agree to them.

N E Style is a personal styling and colour analysis business run by Niamh Ennis, based near Sunderland, England. In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" mean the business, and "you" means the client booking the service.

  1. Services:

I provide personal colour analysis and personal styling services, and what you receive is set out in the description of the service you book.

These include:

Style/body archetype analysis

Wardrobe edits

Personal shopping

Individual colour analysis

Colour analysis parties

I will carry out every service with reasonable care and skill. Suggested timings are estimates, and I may adjust a session if it helps you get the most from it. If a service takes considerably longer than initially estimated, I reserve the right to charge additional costs.

‍ ‍ 2. Booking, fees and payment:

Bookings are confirmed once I have received your deposit and sent you written confirmation (by email or message).

All fees are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are shown on my website, social media or booking confirmation.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% secures your appointment and is deducted from the final fee, except where section 4 gives you the right to cancel. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your appointment. If the remaining balance is not paid when due, I may cancel or postpone the appointment at my own discretion.

I accept payments via bank transfer or card payment link. I do not accept payment via cash or cheque.

Packages and credit vouchers: Packages must be used within 6 months of purchase, and credit vouchers are valid for 12 months and cannot be exchanged or refunded.

3. cancellation and rescheduling

Please give me at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment, so I can offer the slot to another client. If you contact me within this time frame, you can reschedule once at no additional charge, and your deposit carries over to the new date.

In instances where you may wish to cancel the appointment in less than 48 hours, or if you do not show up to the appointment, the 50% deposit is kept, and I may incur an additional charge of up to 75% of the full service fee.

Regarding late arrival to appointments, I will always keep to the agreed finish time of services, so a late start to the service may mean a shorter session. If you are late to a session and that leads to a shorter session, you are not entitled to a refund, in full or partial. If you are more than 20 minutes late to your appointment, I may need to treat the appointment as missed.

In the rare instance where I may need to cancel our appointment, I will always give you as much notice and I can and offer to reschedule or refund the service.

At N E Style, we understand that extenuating circumstances, emergencies or illness may occur at any moment, and we will always try to be flexible in those cases. In these cases, I ask that you please contact me as soon as you possibly can.

4. Your right to cancel and refund

If you book online, by phone or by message without meeting me in person first, you have 14 days from the day you book to cancel and receive a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

If you ask me to start the service within those 14 days, you agree that the right to cancel ends once the service has been fully provided. If you cancel after I have started but before I finish, you will pay for the part already provided, in proportion to the full fee.

To cancel, tell me clearly by email or message. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of your cancellation.

If you are unhappy with a service, please contact me within 7 days and I will try to put it right, whether by a follow-up session, an adjustment or a partial refund where that is fair.

‍ ‍5. colour analysis and styling advice

All advice given during a colour analysis and personal styling is based around my professional knowledge and opinions. While I always strive to deliver a result you love, I cannot guarantee that this will be the case.

Nothing within this section limits your legal rights as a consumer, including your right to a service carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Colour analysis:

Your season and palette are my considered judgement, based on what I observe at your appointment.

Lighting on the day can affect the result, and while I always recommend booking colour analysis for a morning appointment, in the case where I may agree to a later afternoon appointment, I cannot be held liable if you feel lack of natural light affected your experience.

In situations where a client may have artificial enhancements, this may affect colour analysis results. These include, but are not limited to: makeup, tanning, enhanced hair colour, eyelash/brow tinting, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup. If enhancements can be removed/stripped, please try to do so before your appointment; otherwise, I cannot be held liable if you feel they negatively affect your experience.

Regarding makeup, I ask that all clients coming for colour analysis do not wear makeup in any form to their appointment. I will always offer makeup removal methods before our appointment, but if you refuse removal, it may affect your result, which I cannot be held liable for. I reserve the right to cancel the service at my discretion if you refuse to remove makeup and I believe, using my professional judgement, that the severity of your makeup will restrict me from being able to perform the service.

I will offer all advice I possibly can based on my knowledge of colour analysis, but please note it is not medical, dermatological or psychological advice. If you have concerns about your skin or health, please speak to a qualified professional.

Styling advice:

Styling advice reflects your goals, budget and lifestyle as you describe them to me. It is guidance, and the choice to follow it is yours. Throughout the service, I ask that you always communicate with me if you feel as though I am greatly misunderstanding your goals.

Budgets for personal shopping are set purely by you as a customer and I cannot be held liable for its the monetary value. I may, in rare cases, advise budget adjustments depending on the feasibility of your goals.

We may discuss fibre and material preferences prior to a personal styling pre-shop, but I cannot be held personally liable for any instances where there may be an issue with garment quality/damage.

I am also not responsible for the cost of clothes, makeup or other items you buy after my advice, and I do not promise any particular outcome from a service.

Following on from a service where I offer styling advice, I am happy to offer further advice 14 days following your appointment. After that, you may need to arrange an additional service with me for additional advice.

I will offer all advice I possibly can based on my knowledge of fashion and styling, but please note it is not medical, dermatological or psychological advice. If you have concerns about your wellbeing or health, please speak to a qualified professional.
